7 DAYS!!  It's crazy to think that this time next Wednesday I'll be in Belize starting my month long adventure!  Since we are not quite there yet, lets discuss the packing.  So I get one regular sized suitcase for a month long trip, oh and a backpack.  Plan is to bring about 10 days worth of work clothes and clothes to go into town in.  This plan is better in theory than practice.  Like many girls, I LOVE options, but for this trip, bare minimum is what I'll have to stick to.  It is going to be HOT and HUMID in Belize, so being sweaty and gross for a month is something I'll also have to deal with.  I'll let you guys know how that goes once I get there.  As many of my friends know, I like to make fun of people who wear an excessive amount of Magellan gear or as I call it, Frat Wear, if you're not out on a lake.  But I have become one, a Magellan wearing crony, but the difference is, I'll be in the middle of the jungle with hiking boots on, so it isn't completely against my code right?  It's super airy and light so don't knock the Frat Wear until you've tried it!   I keep finding things I've forgotten and things I still need to do before I leave, it is getting stressful.  I am going to try and post a new blog at least every other day while in Belize, so keep checking back here for a new one once I've actually left, and I promise they will be MUCH more exciting than a blog about sweat and Magellan.

Joining the Blogosphere

First blog ever! I am so excited to be going to Belize in less than a month! I'll be traveling to San Ignacio and working at the ancient Mayan site Pacbitun.  I decided that in order to keep family and friends updated on my month in Belize I would make a blog that I can post pictures to and tell everyone about the experiences I have.  If I find something really interesting I want to share it with you!  This is an experience of a lifetime and I want you to see where this journey takes me!  I have most of the big things I will need for the trip, but I've still got a lot of miscellaneous items to get!  Can't wait to go!  Will update again soon with more information on my planning/packing process.
